Correct me if I'm wrong, but these muders were committed in a crowded courthouse while the man was surrounded by witnesses including several law enforcement officers.
I suspect this is merely a poorly disguised insanity plea ;)
Brian Nichols pleaded not guilty Tuesday to multiple counts stemming from a deadly March shooting spree that began in an Atlanta courthouse.

Well, knowing today's lawyers, being guilty doesn't mean that you did it or not but in fact whether you did it by your own decision or if society pressed it upon you. I blame the Twinkies.

Why is this fool going to drag out everything? He knows he did it and so did the witnesses who saw him shoot the judge and the deputy and the stenographer. I don't think its a disguised insanity plea, its just his brain blinking out.
